New branch laboratory in Italy

The new acquired AGROLAB daughter is located in Italy, between Verona and Venice. The AGROLAB^GROUP takes over the laboratory R&C Lab S.r.l. in Altavilla Vicentina, Vicenza - ITALY on 30.04.2014.

AGROLAB^GROUP will acquire the majority of the shares in the Italian laboratory with effect from May. Minority shareholders will be the previous and future Italian directors, Dr. Emilio Urbani and Dr. Mauro Saccon.

R&C Lab- an Important Laboratory in Italy

R&C Lab has been involved in the Italian market for analyses since 1990. The laboratory is known as an important service provider covering the whole country, has a good reputation and is one of the five largest companies in its business sector in Italy.

In recent years the market has selected the companies based on their ability to innovate and grow.

Efficient processes, updated technologies and skilled professionals are the basis for success, which is also shown in the participation at major projects.
We are proud to announce that R&C Lab joined the AGROLAB^GROUP, one of the main European players in the field of laboratory services.

The present structure of R&C Lab, always directed by the two administrators Dr. Mauro Saccon and Dr. Emilio Urbani, will continue its growth strengthened by a size that will ensure capacity of investment and international vision: “We want to thank our employees, customers and suppliers. R&C Lab is involved chiefly in the analysis in foodstuffs and environmental matters and is therefore superbly suited to the AGROLAB^GROUP.

With sales of € 10.8 million in 2013 and approximately 110 employees, R&C Lab is very well equipped and has highly promising development potential.

Its customers, located chiefly in northern and central Italy, can now look forward to synergy effects as a result of a wider range of analyses and the services of the AGROLAB^GROUP.
Activities in southern Italy at the Sicilian office in Catania complement the area covered by the business.

The purchase represents a strategic investment for AGROLAB enabling it to enter one of the largest markets for analytical services in Europe and therefore an expansion of the Agrolab Group’s leading role in Europe.
