EFSA has published its annual report on data from European pesticide residue testing in foodstuffs in 2024.

Of the 9,842 samples analysed, 98.8% of the pesticide residue test results complied with current regulations. Taking measurement uncertainties into account, 1.2% of the results were non-compliant, a significant proportion of which were found in imported products. Regarding controls on French products, 2.3% of products were found to be non-compliant (including 1.05% of imported products).

For France, this report includes a focus on chlordecone in foodstuffs of animal origin. AGROLAB LUFA contributed to the results of the Belgian monitoring programme.
