Non-renewal of authorization for active pesticide ingredients

The authorisation for the fungicidal active substance phosmet was no longer renewed.

 

The decision of the EU Commission has been published in Regulation (EU) 2022/94 by 01/24/22. It will enter into force on Feb.1st, 2022. On 11/01/22 the phase-out period for the insecticide active phosmet (CAS No. 732-11-6) will end. The maximum residue levels will then be set at 0.01 mg/kg (analytical quantification limit).

 

At the moment, the limits for some fruit and vegetable products are still significantly higher.
