With Regulation of 5 May 2025, the approval of Lenacil was extended until 30 June 2040.
Lenacil (CAS No.: 2164-08-1) is a selective herbicide used, for example, in the cultivation of sugar beet, spinach and strawberries against seed-forming weeds and grasses.
The active substance is absorbed by the target plants through the roots and inhibits photosynthesis, causing the plants to wilt and die.
