The authorisation will not be renewed because the application for renewal of the authorisation was withdrawn by the applicant.
The EU Commission has now published the non-renewal of the authorisation of tritosulfuron (CAS no.: 142469-14-5) with of 31.10.2024 on 04.11.2024. The member states must revoke the authorisations for plant protection products containing tritosulfuron by 07.05.2025 at the latest. Any sunset periods for plant protection products containing tritosulfuron will then end no later than six months later, on 7 November 2025.
The maximum residue limit for the herbicide active ingredient from the sulfonylurea group is already 0.01* mg/kg for fruit and vegetables, except for sweetcorn (0.001* mg/kg). Therefore, no further reductions are to be expected.
