More proximity and flexibility for our Belgian clients

From 2 January 2026, we will start operations at our new site, AGROLAB WEST Belgium B.V.  With this location, we are strengthening our technical presence in Belgium and bringing our services significantly closer to our local clients. The new laboratory is located in the former environmental laboratories of the Van Vooren Group and will enable us to process soil and water samples directly on site. For our clients, this means shorter transport routes, faster results and a direct Belgian point of contact.

From the opening day onwards, we will perform routine soil and water analyses directly in Zelzate. At the same time, we are expanding our PFAS analytics in Belgium – applying the same methods, the same analytical packages and the same level of expertise as AL-WEST B.V. We will also be able to manage urgent analysis requests locally, ensuring flexible and rapid turnaround times.

Analytical services – solid foundation plus specialised analyses

AGROLAB WEST Belgium B.V. will offer a wide range of soil and water analyses, including common environmental parameters such as mineral oil, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals, BTEX, volatile organic compounds, cyanides, PCBs and more. This allows us to meet the core requirements of contaminated land assessments, remediation projects, foundation investigations and environmental monitoring.

We are also specifically expanding our specialised areas in Belgium. A key focus is PFAS analytics, where we apply the same methods and quality standards as at our other sites. We additionally offer asbestos testing, which plays an important role in renovation and demolition projects. With this combination of standard parameters and specialised methods, we cover the most common analytical needs of the Belgian market directly on site.

Integration with AL-WEST Deventer – efficient logistics and extended services

The new site in Zelzate complements our established laboratory in Deventer (AL-WEST B.V.). Deventer remains our competence centre for the full analytical portfolio: soil, water, air and wastewater. AGROLAB WEST Belgium B.V. takes on a complementary role: depending on project requirements, samples will be analysed locally or forwarded to Deventer. This way, we combine local proximity with the full analytical capabilities of our experienced Dutch laboratory.

Furthermore, the laboratory in Zelzate serves as a logistics hub for Belgium, ensuring a structured workflow, short lead times and clear sample management. This new facility thus reinforces the proximity, speed and flexibility offered to our Belgian customers.

Zelzate offers ideal logistical conditions and excellent accessibility. The AGROLAB WEST Belgium B.V. is taking over the former environmental laboratory activities of the Van Vooren Group and already benefits from a stable local infrastructure and clear organisational processes. For our clients, this means less effort, quicker processing and direct access to our Belgian team.

Our AL-WEST laboratory in Deventer has long been a central environmental analysis site within the AGROLAB GROUP. It offers an extensive range of analyses for soil, water, air and wastewater, using modern techniques and high sample capacity. Thanks to the close integration with Zelzate, the full extended service portfolio of the AGROLAB GROUP remains available.
