Approval for pesticide actives will be not extended (April 2020)

Fenamiphos: It is planned not to renew the authorisation for the nematicidal active substance. According to EFSA, there are concerns for health risks and potential groundwater contamination by metabolites. When the authorisation expires, which is likely to happen, the MRLs will also be reduced to the level of the limit of determination. The substance was authorised in 7 Member States but not in Germany. The corresponding regulation is expected by the end of the year.
