The USDA/GIPSA (United States Department of Agriculture / Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration) carries out proficiency tests to detect biotechnologically obtained cereals and oilseeds, i.e. for GMO detection.

The last round, the results of which are now available, was attended by 125 organisations and laboratories worldwide, including our AGROLAB LUFA laboratory in Kiel. We were right with our qualitative and quantitative results in all samples and are therefore pleased to be among the top laboratories for the detection of GMOs in maize and soybeans.

Successful participation in proficiency tests is important both for accreditation and for further recognition as a VLOG laboratory. We congratulate the team around Anja Palisch on this impressive result!
