The “Best Business Award for Sustainable Corporate Management” is a well established business award in the triangle of Bavaria, Austria and the Czech Republic. On 16 October 2014 the AGROLAB GROUP was awarded the 1st Prize in the category of “Companies with more than 100 Employees”.

The Business Award

Since 1999 the award initiated by BBA-Forum e.V. has been a demanding, innovative corporate competition in the European region of the Danube-Moldau. The aim is to seek out the beacons of the three-state economic region and highlight them.

 

The prize-winners are selected by an independent panel of judges from science and business practice. The panel chooses the winners on the strength of a questionnaire and an audit it conducts. Besides economic data, many other criteria are incorporated from employee management to innovativeness. The aim is to identify economical companies that operate in an ecologically and socially sustainable way.

The award ceremony – presentation of the wards

This year’s award ceremony was held at Schloss Zell an der Pram in Austria in the evening of Thursday, 16 October 2014. The AGROLAB GROUP won first prize in the category of Companies with more than 100 Employees. The award was accepted by Dr. Helmut Deschauer on behalf of the management. “We are delighted to have been given this award. It endorses our efforts for the sustainability of our corporate strategy.”

AGROLAB was founded in 1986, and at that time was a pioneer in IT-assisted laboratory analyses based on the model of industrial processes. Today the AGROLAB GROUP is a laboratory group operating throughout Europe with its head office in Bruckberg, Lower Bavaria. AGROLAB can rightly claim to be the European price-performance market leader in agricultural, environmental, water and food analysis.

 

The AGROLAB GROUP currently has a workforce of about 1,200 at 20 sites. Whereas in 2009 its turnover was approx. 63 million euros with 6.3 million analyses, in 2013 it was already 91.4 million euros with 10.4 million analyses. The company’s success is defined by the mission to furnish clients with reliable results on time, and is based on the three cornerstones of emphasis on quality, cost consciousness and fairness.
