In April 2018, the US Department again initiated the USDA / AMS / FGIS Proficiency Program. The LUFA-ITL GmbH in Kiel has successfully participated in screening and quantification procedures for three soy and corn events.

The United Sates Department of Agriculture (USDA) strives to improve the overall performance of testing for biotechnology-derived grains and oil seeds (GMO). With over 100 participating organizations from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America, each cooperating laboratory had the opportunity to test the samples provided for the presence of biotech events in corn and soybeans.

Details about the background of the Proficiency Program and further program descriptions are presented on following website: https://www.gipsa.usda.gov/fgis/proficiencyprogram.aspx

The AGROLAB GROUP with its specialized laboratory LUFA-ITL GmbH in Kiel has successfully participated in screening and quantification procedures for three soy and corn events and thus confirmed the competences in the field of GMO analysis.
